SKINCARE ROUTINE
A great skincare routine helps you look and feel your best, which definitely shines through in photos. Here’s my current lineup of natural products that I love, although I’m always on the lookout for something new and fun! As you’ll see below, I prefer products that are rich and indulgent, providing that extra level of nourishment me and my skin love. Clean out anything that’s expired or that you don’t love and won’t use. It feels so satisfying to pare down and keep only the items you truly enjoy and rely on.
My Everyday Skincare Essentials:
Evan Healy’s Wild Carrot Immortelle Eye Balm – I use this around my eyes, nose, and lips. This rarely changes; I occasionally try something new, but I always come back to this staple. Evan Healy Eye Balm
Edye’s Deep Nourishing Serum – I use 3 drops, rub it into my fingertips, and tap it all over my face before massaging it in. I generally prefer an oil to a cream. Edye’s Serum
On Deck: Sunshine Hill Farm Tallow Balm – I got this super thick balm at the Sheep and Wool Festival in Tunbridge, Vermont. It requires a bit of work to apply, but I appreciate a product with substance. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it available online, although you can find many natural tallow products with a quick search.
Wicked Soaps Co. Hydrating Facial Mist – A lovely toner with rose and hibiscus petals. I purchased it at Bodie, a charming store on 4th Street off South Street in Philadelphia. It seems they don’t sell online. Bodie
On Deck: DIY Toner – When my current mist runs out, I’ll refill the bottle with my own blend of witch hazel, distilled water, and essential oils.
Tea Tree Oil – For blemishes. I’m currently using the Whole Foods brand, but I may switch back to Young Living for its quality (even though it’s pricier at $39.47) or Mountain Rose Herbs, which is more affordable and also excellent quality ($10.50). Young Living Tea Tree Oil | Mountain Rose Herbs
Natural Pinon Cream from Sedona – Essential for cuts, rashes, or any skin irritation. This is a must-have in my daily kit. Natural Pinon Cream
Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen Stick – Sunscreen is essential, even if it’s a recent addition to my routine. I love the way this stick feels. Supergoop! Sunscreen Stick
Trial Size Sun Bum – I keep this on hand for my wrists and hands. Also a newer part of my daily routine.
duross & langel Ageless Cream – A super rich night cream that’s perfect for colder weather. duross & langelAgeless Cream
Gua Sha Stone – I use this on the bone line under my eyes and along my jawline to help relax tension. I bought mine at Bodie in Philadelphia. While they don’t seem to sell online, you can find similar options with a quick search. Bodie
It might seem unusual to share this, but it’s something I’m passionate about. Great skin isn’t just about looking good in photos; it’s about feeling confident and cared for.
