  • HiRes (high resolution) and LowRes (low resolution) refer to the quality of a photo. Hi-Res images are large files with lots of detail, perfect for printing.  Low-Res images are smaller files with less detail, which makes them ideal for sharing online, on social media or sending by email because they load quickly. Both types are included so you can use your photos however you like.

  • II’m happy to travel to capture your beautiful family!  Travel within 30 miles is included in all my sessions. For distances beyond this, I charge $100 for each additional 30-mile increment.

    Zone 1: 0-30 miles (included)

    Zone 2: 31-60 miles ($100 fee)

    Zone 3: 61-90 miles ($200 fee)

  • I provide sneak peeks within 24 hours of your event. While these aren’t final edits, you’re welcome to download and share them on social media.

Next, I’ll deliver a complete low-resolution gallery within 2-4 weeks. You’ll have two weeks to review and request any specific edits.

The final delivery will include both high-resolution and low-resolution galleries. You can download photos individually or all at once.

    • Delivery 1: Sneak Peeks (within 24 hours)

    • Delivery 2: Full Low-Res Gallery (within 2-4 weeks)

    • Delivery 3: Final Low-Res & Hi-Res Galleries (within 2 weeks of your requests)

  • Every photo delivered will be flattering and beautifully edited.   I focus on enhancing the overall image, not altering individual features. I might make small adjustments, like removing a spot or fixing something that stands out, but I generally avoid changes like whitening teeth or changing lip color. My goal is for you to look great, natural and authentic.

When you receive your gallery to review, you will have the opportunity to request specific edits or if you would like anything removed from the gallery. I’m happy to make tweaks to a few photos for you, but more extensive retouching will incur additional fees.

  • I’m happy to provide up to 10 additional requested edits as part of every package. If the edits require skills beyond my expertise, I can refer you to a trusted professional who specializes in advanced editing. If you’d like more than 10 additional edits, I charge $25 per photo for each additional request.

  • Yes.  Mid level packages include a 10% discount and top level packages include a 15% discount.

  • Mini Sessions are 20-minute photo sessions held at a specific location, like the back of the Art Museum. I stay in one spot, and clients arrive at their designated time slot. These sessions are usually outdoors, so be sure to dress for the weather. Mini Sessions are offered once per season and are designed to provide a more affordable option for capturing beautiful, professional photos. Stay in touch to find out when and where the next one will be. Learn More.

    Each Mini Session includes:

    • Photography time

    • Editing and post-production

    • Hi-res and low-res galleries of edited photos, which can be downloaded individually or all at once

    • Downloads and printing options for friends and family from the provided galleries

    • Zero markup on excellent professional printing from your hi-res gallery.

    • Optional Album, Frame or Wall Art Design

HOW TO FEEL RELAXED DURING YOUR PHOTO SHOOT

  • Feeling comfortable in your outfit is key. Take the time to choose something you truly love in advance, so you can focus on enjoying the experience without worrying about what you're wearing.

If you enjoy manicures or pedicures, scheduling one for the day before your session can help you feel pampered and confident.

Music can be incredibly soothing. Let me know your favorite feel-good tunes, and I'll have a Bluetooth speaker on hand to set the mood.

Some clients prefer to listen to their favorite comedian for genuine laughs and smiles during the shoot – it's always a hit!

Remember, my job is to make you look good. If you're feeling unsure about posing, don't worry – I'll provide plenty of tips to ensure you look your best.

Breathing techniques can also be helpful for relaxation. If you're interested, let me know in advance, and I'll be happy to guide the family through a calming breathing exercise.

Bring along some cherished memories to keep in your pocket. Reflecting on these times can make you smile or laugh and help you feel more at ease during the session.  I'll be sure to gently guide and encourage natural, lively expressions, keeping an eye out for any signs of fatigue with the process.

Need extra time for outfit changes? No problem. Consider booking a longer shoot, and I can provide a portable changing tent for your convenience.

If you have kids with you, bring along a bag of stocking stuffers or favorite snacks and treats to keep them entertained and happy throughout the session.

Interested in hiring a stylist? You can enlist someone to style your look, your location, or both. Hair and makeup services are also available upon request. Feel free to reach out for more information.

WHAT TO WEAR DURING YOUR PHOTO SHOOT

    1. Confidence:  Love your outfit. Wear clothes that you feel great in, confidence will make all the difference in a photo.

    2. Comfort:  Feel good, look good!  Whether you are going for a casual look, or something more formal, select clothes that are comfy if you can.  Nothing like something uncomfortable to make you look unhappy in photos.  Often the best photos are the ones that come between shots and if you’ve stopped smiling for the formal shot because something is too tight or digging in to you, you won't be smiling for the in-between candids people love so much.

    3. Similar Look & Feel: You don’t have to match perfectly, but having a similar level of dress and formality among everyone helps create a cohesive look. However, don’t be afraid of mixing it up—individual expressions add character and help tell the story of the day!

    4. Outfit Selection: Consider allowing the most invested individual to lead the outfit selection process, while remembering and respecting the dynamics unique to your group.

    5. Patterns & Colors: When it comes to patterns and colors, anything goes! Just remember, patterns draw attention, while solids offer a more subtle appearance. Bold colors make a statement, while neutrals blend seamlessly. Choose what makes you feel your best.

    6. Fit: Fitted clothes often (but not always) look more flattering than baggy ones. Choose what suits your style while highlighting your best features.

If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help!

WHEN YOU FEEL GOOD, IT SHOWS IN YOUR PHOTOS

  • Definitely don’t stress about being in front of the camera. I can guide you into poses and angles that make you look your best and I don’t deliver any photos that aren’t flattering.  If you want, I also encourage you to add your own personality to the session, whether that’s your own poses, ideas, or little quirks that make you feel like you. And of course, I’ll be capturing those candid, in-between moments that happen naturally.

Music often helps and usually brings out natural smiles. I’ve also had clients request a favorite comedian, which adds a dose of fun and genuine laughter to the experience.

This blend of posed, candid, and personal shots is what makes for a winning collection of photos that you will love for years to come.
